Yes, it can be challenging to floss with your braces, but its the best way to prevent gum disease and other oral problems. Please ask Dr. Khan and our staff for floss threaders. Floss threaders will make it easier. Make sure you save a few minutes each day to floss.
- Avoid Hard Foods
A list of foods to avoid: toffee, caramel, and even gum. Hard food can break a bracket or wire. Try to avoid them if possible.
- Wear Rubber Bands
Rubber bands may appear annoying but they are necessary. If you don’t wear rubber bands, it could increase the length you need braces.
- Chew With Your Back Teeth.
Try to switch your eating habits. Using your front teeth can lead to damage. Try biting with your back teeth.
